4 year service - what's the right price?
I'm up on 4 years, which means no more warranty. I'm curious what the cost for the 4 year service should be? I got a quote for $1275 for the service + $300 brake fluid flush.
For the record, car only has 14.5k miles. Does that sound about right? |
I'll have to check but I paid about $750-800 for the 4 year service not including the brake flush at my local dealer. The brake flush would have been another $225 I believe.
This was pretty much an oil and filter change, new air and cabin filters, and a general overall checkup. They tried to sell me on new plugs, belt, and brake flush, but at 25,000 miles I just didn't think the plugs and belt was necessary and the brakes had been flushed in the last 10,000 miles. I told them to actually LOOK at the belt and if it had obvious wear or cracking to call me and we'd replace it. This pricing did include my 10% discount for being a PCA member. |

A full Porsche approved brake flush (not fluid change) is $159 at my dealership. I don't trust my brakes to anyone but a Porsche mechanic. I have it done every two years regardless of the miles (usually 10K). What do they plan to do for the $1,200+ check up? I can tell you that my dealership has never tried to up-charge me for anything - and shame on any who do.

I just had my '07 C2S done in January w/4 years, 25k miles. I paid just under $500 including the $150 break flush. I did pass on the cabin filter and engine air filter changes as I ordered the OEM parts and took the 20 mins to do myself which saved me $200.
