Anyone know which is the latest navigation DVD map update for the 997.1? Any data update since 2008?

 

Yes there is a 2010 DVD. Suncoast sells it.

 

The latest nav disk for PCM 2.1 is 997.044.902.51, referred to by Porsche as the MY10 update. Available from Suncoast for about $300. I just upgraded from 997.044.901.51 and so far have not found any big improvements over the last one. The new one still takes me to incorrect addresses.

I just bought a 2008, how do I tell if it has the 2010 update or not?

 

Not sure if you're able to get to it from PCM menu but I know for certain release date is printed on CD itself. Shown as: MM.YYYY

 

How do you get at the CD

 

The DVD is in the NAV unit located in the 'frunk'. Just eject it and have a look at the label which has the date and/or version.

 

If it's not stamped 997.044.902.51, then it's an older one - picture below is an older nav disc. This also shows you what the nav DVD drive looks like in the trunk.

 

I just got the updated Nav as well for 2010. Some roads NOT listed in the older version are now there...so that makes me a bit happy. Haven't used it much to direct me, but hope it doesn't send me to the wrong address!!

 

I push the eject on my NAV and no DVD comes out to check?Just have a little flashing light on each side of NAV unit flashing.Is it possible when I purchased the vehicle the dealer kept the DVD?Confused?
