Carbriolet Creaking Noice
Carbriolet Creaking Noice
Just purchased an 08 Carrera Cab S.
I have a creaking noice I believe coming from the roof latch when I go over a bump at an angle (Like a speed bum in a parking lot).
I think it is the latch because when I close he top the latch seems to make a similar noice at is tightens the top down.
Can that latch be lubricated? Would that help?
I find this noice quite irritating and frankly I am very surprised the car has such noices at all.
I previously owned a 06 Boxster S which I purchased new and it never had any noices at all save for a small noice in one of the air vents occassionally.
Thanks

Creaks
I had a C4S Cab a few months ago. It creaked from the first day I bought it,used. Asked the Dealer if normal and how they fix it. He told me alot of people have this and there is no definite solution. After the dealer fixes it, they ALL come back w same problem.
The only temporary solution they use and might as well do yourself, is to Spray Silicone everywhere the roof attaches to the body and in rear everywhere.
Good luck!
Ended up selling for this reason.
