Shopping for a 997 and came across this cream white on natural brown(I think)

I cant decide about this interior with cream accents where I am used to seeing grey (below) post up what you think of it.

PS seller said its terracotta but I dont it is, can someone confirm?

Love that color! First picture definitely looks like terracotta. Second one looks a bit light but it could be the lighting.

That looks a lot more like natural brown. Not enough red in it to be terracotta

natural brown interior = LOVE IT

CarNerd 02-02-2013 09:47 PM

Thats definitely natural brown but I agree with blazinginder, absolutely love it!

Rotes 02-03-2013 05:42 AM

looks beige to me:)then again mine is beige

Domer911 02-03-2013 06:12 AM

first pic looks like a different car than the rest

blackbull 02-03-2013 06:42 AM

That's a real classic look!!

PasPar2 02-03-2013 06:43 AM

colors definitely off on 1st pictures.

The beige offered by Porsche in 09 (like the green/biege 09 launch cars) - does it come in full leather? this car has a stitched dash so its full leather... I thought the only light full leather interior is the natural brown one...

Alan C. 02-03-2013 09:01 AM

Nice looking interior. The question is what does it say to you when you open the door? If it's I'm not sure then I'd pass.

Steve997S 02-03-2013 09:07 AM

No sport chrono = no bueno

PasPar2 02-03-2013 09:20 AM

Steve, I would have agreed before I knew you can add the button and software at the dealer.

socalbd 02-03-2013 09:50 AM

Cream accents are ugly, but easily fixable--and the rest of the interior color is great. Saw same yesterday, minus the cream, and it looked super.

Worked for me!

NorthVan 02-03-2013 11:15 AM

I am not a fan of the cream exterior nor the natural interior on a Porsche, a Lexus maybe.

How much? Does that include Sport Plus??

Plus a $1000 + installation at the dealer for the proper steering wheel. Much easier just to find a car already equipped with what you want/need.

gonz996 02-03-2013 12:12 PM

I love the interior (same as mine) but it does create a reflection on the windshield.

PasPar2 02-04-2013 08:04 AM

gonz996, got any pics you can post up. Would like to compare stock vs the cream accented one

yvesvidal 02-04-2013 09:24 AM

I have the same exact interior: it is the natural brown full leather interior.

+1. The interior color is noted under the ashtray. Just pull it out and take a look underneath. I was drawn to a full leather interior until now that I own one. The non-full leather interiors are far more resilient to normal wear and tear, especially on the door panels and console, and my next car will not be full leather for this reason.

Gonz, "full leather" would include the dash and the door panels and would show stitching on both (like you have on your E-brake). That's a pretty interior, nonetheless, though. As I said, I'd actually prefer this interior to a full leather one, as they are MUCH easier to maintain properly and look just as good.

gonz996 02-04-2013 11:20 AM

AH, right. Partial "leather" LOL. Corrected.

PasPar2 02-04-2013 01:29 PM

Gonz, thanks

Those cream accents are the wildcard for me. Spoke to eric @ bumper plugs and they are paintable piano black which I am not sure is better with the brown, or replaceable with CF at a considerable cost which again isnt great with brown.

still not 100% sure I want to move on though... can someone please buy this car and eliminate the choice for me?

thanks :)

Here's my 2 cents....first of all I'd never buy a Porsche without full leather....it's a gorgeous option and it's enjoyable to me every moment I'm in the car.........a must!

Secondly, Cream White is a very cool color....old school and unusual....you never see it around....what you do see everywhere is red, black and Arctic Silver.....my God.......Except for maybe Guards Red I'd want something different....something I wouldn't see coming aropund every corner.

The we come to Natural brown....IMO the nicest Porsche interior by far....it's just lovely........look at these pics and tell me it's not beautiful.....

I like the car you're considering......Good Luck with your choice!

Respectfully disagreed. Easier to care and maintain...... Absolutely

"look just as look".... Not really... Full leather is amazing, the stiching and combination with the seat is just gorgeous. It is a lot harder to keep and you need to be careful and care for it more often but it worth it

Bullseye7 02-04-2013 06:01 PM

Not my cup of tea with the white but I really like it with the black or even with slate grey.

Mine is terracotta full leather with black on the dash

chaser 02-06-2013 07:38 AM

Mine is Brown natural leather....looks the same as yours

Bokchoys 02-06-2013 05:33 PM

Personally I like black / grey interiors. I'm not really into how Porsche makes EVERYTHING one color with the brown / tan /... interiors. its just too much for me.

I wish they just made them 2 tone on the brighter interior colors. Make the top of the dash black. Only used the colored leather on the seats carpets and part of the dash / door.

Example would be like this 991.

PasPar2 02-06-2013 07:37 PM

I finally figured out the thing that bothers me - that silver/grey in the steering wheel clashes with everything. The cream accents replaces 99% of the grey in the dasg but the steering still has a big grey "spot"

Ideas on correcting this? does that grey piece come off? can it be replaced?

thanks

Volnomad 02-06-2013 09:13 PM

I like natural leather and contrast stitching, but I am not sure I like them together in this case when the stitching is cream.

Ok, while we are on the topic of full leather interiors, here's my full leather interior with silver contrast stitching, aluminum package, and silver seat belts.
