Road and Track, new vette, 911,GTR, BMW

Anyone else read the new Road and Track with the New Corvette(on cover) tested? Seems to me that they liked and compared everything to the new 911. Seems they loved the FEEL and rear engine. I think they liked the 911 best and was suprised they gave so much talk about it. Seems they liked the Nissan GTR the least?
I still wonder about my decision sometime about the Z06 or 911 (that I decided on).
I am totally happy with my 911.

911 is the car with soul and history
It's pure blood from Porsche

I see at least five vets a day and maybe one 911 a week.
That's why I own a 911, not to mention my 6'5" frame can't fit in a vet .

i have a 2008 911 s & a gtr .
I would just say they are different animals.
I think the p car is more luxury and refined while the gtr is more of a beast.
i have the same apples to apples tires and i would not even consider driving in the snow with the s but the gtr on the other hand is 4 wheel and have zero issues in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin.

I just made the same decision as you except I was looking at the 427 Vette, after driving both the choice was obvious. I just can not get into the look of the GTR, it just does not do anything for me. I am not shocked they like it the least at all.

GTR is an amazing machine and I can see why people like them. In speed terms between my 911 and the GTR you can't really compare them as the GTR is so much quicker.
I also think GTR is better looking in real life than it is in photos. I am really glad Nissan made it as I am a ar lover. It also has spurred Porsche on who might have been becoming a little complacenet otherwise.

There is something about all these cars. For me...

Vette - Crap interiors, crap build...just all motor, in a straight line

GTR - Fast as hell, sweet interior and good quality, just too ugly for me

911 - Well my obvious choice..excellent all around ride!!!!

I couldn't grasp the fact you take a car like a GTR to the same dealership that repairs Sentra's. Corvette's are simple.think repairs at Chevy dealer would be ok, Porsche's are sold and repaired at same facility and that's all they sell...not multiple brands under one roof..at least not here in Nor Cal.

Hold on, you live in HB and see ONE 911 a WEEK? You can park yourself on PCH and see 1 every 10 minutes drive by. I wouldn't consider the 911 exclusive at all here in SoCal. GTR is much more rare. Corvettes more common than 911 for sure.

I have a Shelby Mustang for speed, it is much faster than my 997.2 S, honestly unless you track (Most do not) I can not see how anyone would need more power than a 911. This is one reason I picked the 911, it much more involving on the road. I love my Shelby, but it is rare I ever get to use its Power. If I did more often it would put lives at risk and I am not willing to do that. Not saying I do not use it once in a while going down the highway or an on ramp with no one around, but the Porsche is just a different animal. For street driving to me it is superior to the Vette or GTR.

I honestly do not care about the GTR being a Nissan, think about the Ford GT, I would love to own one and it gets serviced at a Ford dealer.

To me magazine times mean nothing unless you track, they should reveiw cars more for fun to drive and enthusiast driving on real roads.
