Finally ordered Dectane's

After much thought and consideration, I finally pulled the trigger today on a set of Smoke Dectane tail lights. Will I get any CEL from them? I've found plenty of pics of the clear style, but not too many of the smoked. If anyone has them could you please post a picture. Thanks

No research with that "much thought and consideration"? There have been hundreds of posts about this. The answer is "maybe" - probably not though if you install the resistor packs that ship with the lights.

And all of the posts not good. My thoughts exactly.

You will be fine, if you do get errors, installed the resistors that came with it. I had no errors when I had the rear led's installed. It's when I installed the front drl's. I got an "rear fog light' error. Don't even know how they relate but it got rid of the error.

Great idea!! Lets improve the chance of getting rear ended.

I have DEPO's on my car and installed them with the resistors and have had zero issues.

I was also considering the dectane's but after all the issues I decided to try the group buy set from DRC, no errors and worked perfectly without a resistor...

Hey Ynot,

Does your rear fog light work on the LED? My turns on for a second when you pull on the light switch then goes off.

It worked when I first installed it, tested everything and made sure that everything was fine. I haven't tested it since, I'll test it out tomorrow and I'll let you know.

Mine works just fine, just tested it. No errors, no problems.

In case anyone cares.....

Check out this link. It seems like these lights are made exactly the same as all the others...I guess it's all about how much profit someone wants to make.

Or do you want to chance buying from an international vendor. Me, I prefer domestic. If something goes wrong I'd rather deal "locally". Just ask the guys who bought from Orange Tuning in Germany. They probably wished they paid a higher price in exchange for the hassles of international customer service.
