America's Tire Road Hazard Worth it's Weight in Gold!

So my wife took my baby out on Saturday to pick up dinner and picked up a huge metal object in one of my rear PS2 N2s. I got a warranty on the tires from America's Tire back in September and it sure came in handy today. Cost me nothing for a brand new rear tire which would have cost me about $500. I warrantied the new tire for $67.00. I'd say it's money well spent! :D

I have used my warranty once too....only negative is that depending when you replace that warranty tire you could have 1 new tire and 3 very worn tires. Bummer.

Really? - usually always both tires per axle have to be replaced. They only pay for one? Can't have one new and three old tires on a car. Always in pairs even if that means replacing a good tire as well. A least that's best practice and I would always strongly recommend replacing both tires on the same axle as it not only can impact the handling of your car but also insurance coverage for the whole car!

The warranty only covers the damaged tire. When my tires was slashed...by a homeless guy no less LOL. I only got the one tire replaced. Lucky it was after having for only a couple thousand miles..so it didn't matter. But that's something you have to think about. You may have to pay for the other one to have even wear.

Not really surprising. Insurance is always worth it to anyone who has a major claim against said insurance paid out. You get the benefit from the other insurance holders who have no claim.

And its a waste of money to those that are lucky enough to never need to file a claim.

My other tire is only 5 months old, so it didn't need to be replaced, but I agree, if it was worn, I would've had to replace both.

I would never use America tires. They destroyed a tire I brought in and upsell me when I had a flat. Huge waste of time sitting there for an hour with all the cheap cars ahead of me. Glad you got your money's worst from them

here is another option:

replace both rear tire. keep the good one as a spare.
if it append again, you have a spare and hopefully, it will be pretty much as worn as the other one :-)
