Is the body the same for C2 vs. C2S vs. C4 vs. C4S

Hello,

I'm starting to look for a new toy in the garage and I have narrow it down for a 911 with PDK. So far, I have not been able to figure out if the body style is the same for a C2 vs. C2S vs. C4 vs. C4S?

For some reason, it seems like the C4S has a wider body based on the pictures that I have seen. The rear fender flare seems much wider than the rest.

Is it the same body across the model?

Thanks in advance,

No, they are not all the same.

C2 and C2S are Narrow Body (NB)

C4 and C4S are Wide Body (WB)

Thank you! So, my eyes weren't playing trick on me

I prefer getting the C2S, but now I might have to look for the C4S just for the wider body style.

definitely disappointing that the RWD S model has become a NB and you have to have AWD for a WB at all - minus the GT3RS. Everyone loves the 993 C2S for that wide *** - looks amazing. the difference is less than an inch, iirc, but it is noticeable (on the 997). even so, the 997 C2S is actually wider than the 993 C2S. once lowered, the 997 C2S looks pretty wide and 305s under it help even more.

depending on your budget, it sounds like the GTS is just what the doctor ordered...wide body, RWD, PDK, and the bonus of the powerkit.

+1 on this. I have a GTS and love it. Plus, as you said, it has the wide body that the OP is looking for with rear wheel drive.

I would be open to all of them, drive them and see which you like the best. I like the Wide Boby look better, but after driving both decided I would be open to both. What was more important to me was Color, Options, and Condition. If I would have went wide body it would have been GTS or Targa.

Good Luck!!!!!

+1 GTS. Relatively rare wide-body RWD. Great car.

wc11 has a spectacular aura aboutwc11 has a spectacular aura about
WB rear quarters panels are about 1.5" wider.
Rear tires are 305's vs 295's.
Here's my C2S NB
997's still look wide as they went back to the older 993 body style with the more pronounced hips vs the sleeker wedge type 996.

Glad you posted this, I always had a hard time knowing if a 997 was a WB, the 996 is easy to tell and the 993 even easier. Now I know why, they are not that much wider.

Love your car pic Ynot. What year? ... are those original rear lights or did you go aftermarket to get the LEDs? You're going to make me shine my car this weekend!
