N2o r&d

Hey guys, I've modestly (75 shot) bottle-fed both my Evo 9 and M3 with great results and decided to see what can be done on the 997 (in my case a .1 4S).

Low and behold it's near unheard of. I suspect because of the bad rap nitrous has gotten in addition to our ECU being an extremely hard nut to crack beyond simple piggy-backing so I figured I'd throw a post out there to see if anyone has heard of anyone developing, or having released a system, for our cars.

Please don't flame this post unless you've actually ran nitrous.

Thanks,
-Mike

Man... I can't imagine the bottom end of a 997.1 could handle much juice at all.

I spoke to Harris from TPC racing who are about 1.5 hours from me today and he said they've had no problem stacking both meth and nitrous on both the 3.6 and 3.8. He shared some of his data logs with me and the last 997 S with the above put down 485hp to the wheels on only 6lb of boost on pump gas. They recently completed a beast of a cayman on a stock bottom end/tranny running the above as well using a 40 shot of spray, I assume to make up for the lag. The resulting hp/tq curves were as smooth as could be.

The engine can take a decent power increase from nitrous, no question. But a more important question is do you have someone in mind to tune the car (flash your ECU) for you?

At this point I'd make the trek to TPC, they are fairly close. Fabspeed is 20 minutes away but I haven't heard of much coming out of their shop beyond I/H/E + flash.
