Muffler Bypass in Los Angeles

Is anyone running muffler bypass pipes in the LA area? I have a 997.1 c2s and am considering getting bypass pipes but would like to hear someone with that setup first.

Having done this on same car, if you like aggressive do it! I had a hard time finding any video except for this one.

I love mine! I also found it revs a bit faster.

How is the sound compared to when you just take the mufflers off? I drove around like that once and didn't like it.

X...

Didn't try that so can't speak on sound difference.

I definitely want an aggresive exhaust note! I've listened to a lot of videos and think it sounds perfect. That being said, I've read a handful of threads where pcar owners say it's simply too loud. I wanted to hear it in real life to find out what the true sound is like.

I have put about 1800 km since I've done it and truly enjoy it. Makes it even more raw. I got a lot of compliments at the pca track day. The way I thought of it, is worse case I would put mufflers back on if I got annoyed with it being too loud. I have found myself not turning on my stereo as much as I enjoy the sound of the motor.

Are you running any other exhaust or engine mods with the bypass pipes?

No other mods related to motor or exhaust.

I have it. It's not for everybody... hell, you have people complaining PSE is too loud! LOL!

I have 200 cell Xpipes cats and the muffler bypass. Some intake, GT3 TB and plenum. The car drives faster, revs smoother. There is a tiny loss of torque from 1500 to 2000 RPMs but after that 2000 RPMs, you are going to be loving staying between 3000-4000 all the time. I went to key west with my girlfriend and she didn't complaint.
I have people stop me to ask me about the exhaust and it turns heads. it sounds like a cup car. I had the Fister Exhaust and replaced with these. Love every second.

I have the Sharkwerks x-pipe muffler delete with stock side mufflers and stock cats on my 997.2 Carrera S. It sounds more aggressive than stock , no droning- just an awesome tone. In addition, I have a Fabspeed carbon fiber dual air intake and it sounds even better. I end up shifting in higher rpms just to hear it. It's intoxicating. PM me and I could yet you hear it in person. I'm usually in L.A. Mon-Fri.

I'm in the same boat. I've watched every single YouTube video out there and have it narrowed down to either the Fabspeed Muffler Bypass Pipes or the Gundo Hack.

I'm not sure the Gundo Hack will be loud enough but I'm worried about the bypass pipes being too loud. I suppose with the bypass pipes, I could always go back to the stock?
