Los Angeles streets………….

Just ran over some debris in the road here in L.A. Whatever it was sliced this hose, I’m assuming it’s a straightforward water hose. (Please tell me I’m right). Had the car flat bedded to the shop. Strange to me that Porsche would have a hose so exposed like that.

It seems like a water hose. Any other damage to the car? That sucks...

In fact, if anybody knows what hose this is, I would greatly appreciate it.

If that is the left rear of the car I have to have that hose replaced also. I think they said it was the hose that goes to the water pump. Mine only leaked once and I think it was coolant coming out. Parts were $200 and labor was $300. My excellent aftermarket warranty covers everything but lights, batteries, and hoses of course.

That s got to be a coolant hose... it s up high so whatever you struck must have flipped upwards when you ran it over.... I wouldn t be surprised but if the dealer charges $500 for a hose change and coolant , I d find another (Non dealer) shop.

I wouldn't think it would be at all difficult. what I find interesting is that I've contacted one of the biggest Porsche parts suppliers and they cant identify what hose this is, even after seeing the picture of it.

Looks to me like the hose that is on the thermostat housing just below the water pump.
No?

I'd think I'd find another parts source...especially if I can find it...looks like #15 to me.
