Rear Seat & Seat Belts Delete

I just scored a set of OEM guards red set belts (fronts) and real anxious to install it. I already found a nice DIY on it and it looks like a pretty straightforward job. Since the rear seat are practically useless, I also plan to remove them including the seat belts since I don't have a matching red seat belts. I've searched everywhere and found a DIY on the rear seat removal but didn't get any hit on the seat belts.. If anyone has done it before and has some tips, tricks and traps to share, I would really appreciate it.

Hi Perk, I totally agree and it is the easiest and cheapest way to reduce the overall weight of the car by 20Lbs. It is a pretty simple process even I can do it. I've done it on my 996 just by winging it. I'm sure the 997 is not much different. It takes less than 30mins tops. This link below should give you a pretty good idea on how to do it.

I just did this exercise today and took some notes for a short DIY instructions. You'll be the 1st one to know once I've posted it.

Rick, the bug has certainly caught on to me. I'm walking a fine line between a hobby and an addiction.

Just posted the DIY on it. It is my first time so I hope I made it clear enough.

Hey, USMC_DS did a DIY on replacing the rear belts, I'd think you could use that to just plain remove them. Hope this helps.
