Torque wrench.....with allen bit.
A small one would be nice.....but you can even use your wheel breaker bar (if it's a good one and kept calibrated).

Just a minor tip on cranking down the two allen bolts on the backside.....do observe the ft.lb. spec in the manual. Bad things happen if you go overboard in that dept.

Maybe I am the first...but that looks great!!

What springs/drop did you put on it?

Thanks for sharing!

Appreciate that.....thank you.
She hasn't really changed since delivery 5 yrs ago when she went straight from dealer to tuner, to body shop. Wife's been driving it ever since.
So, to your question....I'm not much a believer in using a spring change (alone) to modify OE suspension.
On this car we used the Bilstien Damptronic System along with a few other components. It integrates well with he PASM and allows adequate room for any adjust all around. It works on this car.

It looks fantastic IMO. I have PASM on mine too---I am considering options so I will have to check those out...not sure what direction I am going to go with a drop yet. Thanks for the insight and pics!

finally got my top installed, but a question burns in the back of my mind, how does the softop handle being folded for so many months?? I guess there shouldn't be an issue but wanted to ask some one who's had it for a while.....

I usually give it a last sealant treatment....dry thoroughly..... before the last fold down. Never any issues in the spring. This car is in winters since 2010 and is first Stone Grey we've had. Both the 1st gen Boxster and the C4-996 had black tops and ran all winters w/hard top. So, blk and grey, no significant issues......if there is a line or crease that can be seen it's gone after a day in the spring sun.
