Keep 997.2 as DD vs. don't say the S word...
Back in Aug 2013, I Purchased my first Porsche - 2010 C4S CPO. Awesome weekend drives until I had to do DD; in the NJ winter that is. It was a total misery with all those potholes and the freezing temperatures.
In Feb 2014, I purchased 2011 Cayenne from my nephew (it's a lease return and couldn't pass up the savings $$$; he moved on to GTS). A Perfect solution to my winter blues (a 4th car with only 3 drivers in the family)
Well, it's short lived. Now, my wife found her "Dream Home". She is not a fan of sports car; she said she feels "sea sick" in my car - rides are too low & bumpy.
She is hinting I need to sell ... At least one ... fun spring/summer; miserable winter vs. comfort/convenient all year round. Wait, can I have both?
Why not Sell both and purchase Macan Turbo? That's crazy. Right?
Wife could ride with me without getting "sea sick" and I'll have fun drives all year round! Sounds reasonable, but ...
I welcome thoughtful comments ... Don't be too harsh.
[Anyone interest in White/beige 2010 C4S CPO with 18,300 miles or 2011 black/sand Cayenne with 37,200 miles; no CPO?]
Please reach out to me at jjp53@columbia.edu if you are serious and want info on asking price and specs. Thx!
Note: not interested in purchasing another car for winter DD (e.g., jeep, sorry I had a bad experience in the past)

Seriously though, I'm trying the convince the wife to get a Macan instead of a bimmer, but she's not having it.
I picked up a CPO Audi avant as a daily driver. Left the 997 in the garage for 2 weeks. Got to thinking the a4 was pretty fun. Took the 911 out the other day and there is no comparison. So see how long you can go without driving the 911, and see how good it feels when you get back in it. Then decide if you can live without it.

No matter what you drive she will get sick. Keep the c4s and change your driving habits when she is in the car. This is what I have done and it works. She likes to go on rides with me now. You also need to be a passenger with someone who drives like you. Try it on a track. You may need a barf bag. It is a completely different experience when you are the passenger.
