Newly purchased 997 refurbished
Ok well it might not look like much from the photos but the below 997 has been refreshed to near new, purchased about a month ago, with low mileage but in need of a cosmetic refurb and a lengthy service list.
Since the car was hardly driven I took no chances and had a $5k service done inc every fluid and filter you can think of including tiptronic transmission service, final drive oil, belts, plugs, handbrake rebuild inc cables and all tensions & compression springs, etc etc. 4 wheel balance and several switches and trims such as the plastic guard under the front wheels which had been ripped off obviously through neglect when negotiating driveways & speedbumps.
Once back from the service I then had a few leather repairs done such as repair of a large scratch on the back of the drivers seat which looked to be from a coathanger. Some leather dye and cleaning and the seats were back to near new.
New licence plates, rear badge, extensive paint detail inc touch ups, all 4 rims properly repaired as in tyres removed curb damage filled, machined, sanded, 2 pac painted & baked. Then a 4 wheel alignment.
Soft top revived with Renovo dark blue dye. New floormats, new air conditioning unit as the buttons were quite worn ($1,400 alone), new PCM *****, new coloured crest wheel centre caps, 15/7 spacers, Eurocharged tune & it's finally done. The money & time spent was justified given it's a rare example with very low mileage and I intend to keep it that way for some time.

Cheers guys, yes only an oil change or two for the next 10,000 kms then pads are due..which could be 2 years away at the rate I drive it.
Now I have jack stands I will also get the tyres replaced when the time comes without having to leave the car in at a tyre shop. Do my own oil changes too now.
The brake fluid I guess will have to be done with the pads, it was just done at the service along with coolant etc. Assuming air & pollen filters will need to be done along with spark plugs also when the pads and brake fluid gets done. But at least it's 10k/2 years away.
