My Stealer what trying to rip me off again to fix the hood on my CAB. Can anyone provide me with a part number or tell me what exactly this part is please? See attached.


I know this forum will save me a fortune and will get excellent advice. Thanks for your help.

 

The part in the picture appears to be a Bowden cable.

I'm not sure where NI is (Northern Ireland?) but when you say hood, do you mean the fabric convertible top or the sheet metal that covers the front trunk/boot? And what year is your C4s?

 

This is for the CAB roof that lift up the wind deflector.

 

i'd suggest going to an online parts site like AutoAtlanta or GaudinPorscheParts and finding the part in a diagram (Gaudin is normally one of the cheapest, but they don't tend to show the part number). I looks like your part might be one of the hydraulic lines under the Body section titled "Convertible Top Driving Mechanism Hydraulic"... but you'd probably know better which one it is since you hopefully know where it came from. The problem you might end up with doing it yourself is knowing how to properly recharge the hydraulic system, if I'm correct that is what it is.
