997.1 C2S: Uneven ride height! Possible cause?
I have a 2007 997.1 C2S with ~41k miles on it. I recently lowered it with HR springs (1k miles ago). I recently noticed my car is sitting lower on the driver side on the rear end. I measured it from ground to the arch of the wheel well and found the driver side is almost .25" lower then the driver side. I'm wondering what could possibly be wrong.
1) Is is possible the springs were incorrectly mounted? I never really paid attention to it before I lowered the car, so I cannot tell when it started sagging. I thought the springs can only be mounted one way.
2) Does it mean I need new shocks? With 41k miles on it, is it normal for shocks to go bad?

did you do the HR yourself? I did mine and there is a certain was the end tip of the spring itself has to sit into a groove in the top hat. It's easy to have the spring slightly off and not sitting in the groove like it should. Happened to me when I did my first install. I readjusted the spring and that fixed it.
Shock issue is possible but with only 41K miles that would be weird...

I suppose I can put a sack of rice on the passenger side to even it out!

Do you have a RHD or LHD? Mine is RHD and is slightly lower on one side (can remember which side but will check), and I've been told that it's "normal" for RHD cars since the car was originally designed and with weight balance for LHD. My X5 is also lower on one side as well.
I've had it aligned but not corner balanced. I don't have coil-overs and I don't think it is possible to corner balance regular H&R springs.
