I do as well...I also prefer the way "911 Carrera S" is smaller script on the 991 to make room for the P O R S C H E.

I didn't go for the full 991 effect here because it felt a bit "poseur" to me and I have a license plate frame that reads P O R S C H E in the same script, so it seemed repetitive. But I can see going either way with it.

Well, I did compliment you on the wheel upgrade and say you had a nice car. Putting on that red emblem isn't going to ruin what is otherwise a very good looking 911. It's just not what I would do and that is all I was trying to say.

Bottom line, nice 911 and great wheel upgrade.

Thank you! I took some more photos of wheel fitment and will upload them as soon as I can.

The wider rears may not be everyone's taste, either, but I quite like it.

The thought has crossed my mind but I don't think I'll be changing the ride height. I really am trying not to change much.

Beautiful pics! You definitely won't regret lowering the car. The increase to handling is very noticeable as well.

Love the badging, especially with the red S on that color. Good call, even if you spent less than $100 (!)

Looking at your car, I'm not surprised you would say that.

Be nice. I'm sure he loves his ride as much as you love yours.

It's a really easy swap, just beware you may have paint fade around your original badges depending on how it's been cared for.

My badges are for a 991, so a little smaller and understated than 997 ones, and significantly cheaper. They come shiny and you can paint the S if you're a little punk hooligan with no respect for classic Porsche's like myself

What's really nice is the 991 comes as one piece, so you don't have to worry about spacing between the numbers. You're on your own for the S, and for centering the emblems overall as well.

I found that the bottom of the letters are almost exactly 2 widths of painters tape from the bumperline. Good luck!

Thank you, Verde. Since the level of discourse has reached this point, I'll bow out. Perhaps if all others on this thread actually owned a 997, the styling advice would be better received. As you observed earlier, he must be fun at a party.

Enjoy your mods. I still like your badging!
