Try some fuel.

3M adhesive remover works well.

you can get Goo Gone at any Long's Drug and it works great...also good for adhesive on your headlights if you put tape on them...

All of these work ok. But whatever you do, DON'T rub hard. You will scratch the plastic.

The 3M adhesive remover should work, but it's very powerful. Be careful and start with only a small amount.

An alternative is to use a little WD-40 on a soft cloth. Then wash with your usual car-wash detergent to remove the lubricant residue.
