Wheel color and size opinions

2009 997.2S cabriolet

Cobalt blue I believe is the color, love it!!!! Black top and light gray interior.
Not a track car but for the street, I think 20" would look killer but I've read that it's best to stay 19"? Also michigan roads suck. The big debate is Black or bright silver finish, what looks best with Blue? The silver S wheels look nice but thinking about another complete set.

Or just refinish my S wheels

I agree. If going with a wheel w/o a lip, then silver or a light anthracite at the darkest. If getting a wheel with a polished lip, I'd go for silver, charcoal centers with the polished lip. Will make that beautiful color blue pop better than black wheels will in my opinion.

That color is beautiful, but it looks darker than Cobalt Blue. Maybe it's just the lighting...

I'm not a fan of black wheels, especially on a darker colored car. They just blend in with the tires and the wheels wells. I agree that anthracite is the darkest that I would go, and I would probably go with silver.

Although the trend is going black wheels I don't think they look that good in comparison to bright silver on the blue. if I stay 19" maybe I should just have mine refinished, the previous owner added some curb rash to one rear wheel.
20" wheels, thoughts?

Black fits very well on that blue color. I had a similar blue on my 986 and used black rims.
Go for it!

Beautiful car. The color is Aqua Blue Metallic. It was a launch color for 997.2 Cabs.

If you drive on crappy roads, consider 18" wheels. The Carrera III's are nice. I prefere silver or matte gray.

If you stick with 19"s, refinish your existing wheels or look for the 10-spoke Carrera Sports. They are getting ahrder to find now, but were an option on this car and are (to me) the best looking of all Porsche OEM wheels.
