Brought my first Porsche home just a few weeks ago - 2005 C2S launch edition. Have been having fun learning the car and of course starting the mod list. It's my opinion, as with my former e46 M3, that the 911 is gorgeous in its own right, but can be accentuated with just wheels and a drop. The drop is forthcoming, but the wheel opportunity presented itself.
Was perusing craigslist and was happy to find these Ruger Mesh (19x8.5, 19x11) for sale. Aside from a few nicks, they were in great condition. Put on my bargaining hat and brought them home for $700. A week later and some new tires, voila!
Only other mod for now are clear side markers, but more in store for later. I look forward to sharing my ongoing journey with this incredible machine.

I love these wheels. Classic but so elegant. It is almost unbelievable you would find such marvels on Craiglist. You definitely created...
I am looking forward to doing the same mods as you did.
Thanks for posting these beautiful pictures.
Nice find, $700 is quite the bargain. I'm a fan of the design but not a fan of the finished. A darker finished looks better on black cars. IMO.
I thought it was a good price as well. I am not a fan of darker finished wheels. I enjoy the contrast of silver wheels with the paint of the car. I also think a brighter wheel shows the detail of a wheel while darker colors hide it. My motto - to each their own.

Love those wheels. If I could find them for that price range I would ****** them up and use them for my summer rims and turn my sport rims into my winter rims. Right now I have been using the same rims and having the summer/winter tires swapped eveery 6 months.

Your front wheels will eventually turn dark with all the brake dust, enjoy your contrast, it doesn't stay for long.
