Radiator Grills for the 997.1 - Limited run

3 Attachment(s)
So I was worried about the accumulation of fall debris and nastiness that can deteriorate the expensive radiators and due to how low they are they can get rocks pretty easy that can puncture the radiator. I am producing a limited run of 13 997.1 kits. Each kit is 3 pieces with the center radiator grill (large) and the side radiators. They are powder coated black. PM me if you are interested.

How are they mounted?

ChicagoSpeed996 Mar 6, 2016 11:34 AM

They are mounted with smooth black cable ties. Two of them. Handle 135+ mph. Don't ask how I know HA!

MYC2SPC Mar 6, 2016 06:14 PM

Will they handle 150mph+? :-)

Anybody interested in a set? I am developing a center grill also.

Do they pop in from the front outside of the car or is real labor required?

I'm looking for a full set of 3. Left|Center|Right.

I'd have to know more about what kind of material and mounting techniques you used though.

I could make some myself, but if you've perfected it... it saves me the trouble.

They are installed from the front with your hands and a set of side cutters to cut the cable ties used to secure them.

Currently I have not yet developed the center as the mounting methods are not as clean and straight forward as I would like them. Yes, my service saves you from creating and measuring templates, cutting out the material, saves your hands, your time and you get a finished product ready to go in about 10 minutes. What is your time worth? I am happy to provide the service for you which saves you time and frustration.

How many holes have to be drilled?

Zero.

So after looking at previous pic I believe you secure each side in front of each radiator with two zip ties correct?

Yep that is correct. Easy removal for radiator cleaning, no bumper off install, no drilling. Also I installed mine on the outside, you can actually hide them on the middle bar really easily.

Yes but... far easier to conceal on black!
