H&R springs - binding and both draftshafts gone

hi everyone this Ian my first post and I’m really seeking your advice here.

Just lowered my C4S (with 35k’miles) two days ago. The Mechanic test drove the car around the parking lot and the passenger side drive shaft popped. They went to repair it and a day later the drivers side driveshaft went too.

Questions I have are:

1) Is this common when lowering the car?
2) should I revert back to stock suspension or is it fine now that they are both repaired?
3) will replacing new drive shafts help the situation ?
I never track my car so it’s purely for cosmetic purposes. I’m quite paranoid to drive it now :(
4) my front springs are Super compressed and they seem to be touching / binding to each other. Is this normal behaviour ?

Hey, I have had H&R springs installed on my previous 996.1
and now my current 997.2 C2 and have never had this happen.
Something else is going on, is your mechanic a knowledgeable
"Porsche" type?

Are you sure you were sold the correct kit?

I was thinking the exact same thing.

The symptoms scream that the wrong springs were installed.

Yea, this isn't right. Something is binding and cantilevering the driveshafts out. If nothing else has been corrected, it will happen again. You need to find the root cause of the issue, which is probably the incorrect springs being installed or the correct springs being installed incorrectly.

Get the part numbers on the springs and let us know which is installed in the front/rear too.
