2011 Carrera C4S Getty GT2 Wing Modification

I have a 2011 Carrera C4S that I have installed a GT2 wing from Getty Designs on. The issue is that my car is a cabriolet and this wing is designed for a hard top. I need to raise the wing about 1 1/2' inches so I can lower or raise the top without removing the wing. I do have the wing set up so I can pop it off and on in about 10 minutes but there is always the possibility of scratching something in the process and this is a really beautiful great performing car.. At this point I am about to shape something out of wood that fits the wing and the mount together (keeping the sleek lines) and then use that as a template to get something machined out of billet aluminum.

I have seen one other Cab on the road with this wing installed so I do not know if someone out there is familiar with the challenge I face.

If anyone can share some input it would be greatly appreciated and I will post some pics of the car over the weekend.
