Anyone else have "cold amp" syndrome?
Bose system in base model
If it has Bose and there is nothing from the speakers or the sub, it's not the amp, it's the PCM itself. The amp in a Bose setup receives separate and regular inputs and has its own amp to drive the sub. With what you describe, you're getting no output from the PCM to either amp.

I still don't get it.
When I put a hot water bottle (hot pack) on my amp, sound comes on.
How is that a PCM issue? Please explain to me as I'm a novice at this and am eager to learn.
Thanks

Either you're getting output from the amp when you're not getting music from the speakers which would be the amp or you're not getting any output which would be the PCM. Warming the amp and making it play sure sounds like it's the amp, but if the subwoofer isn't working either, that's the PCM. Or, the car doesn't have Bose which means the amp drives the sub and the speakers and it's the amp.
Your system has a fiber optical chained network. There is a digital connection to your amp from pcm, and any one component could cause your system to fail. I can’t remember if the bose amp sends the sound to the sub amp or not. You can try to install a MOST loop adapter in the Bose amp and see if the sub is playing after that.
