In case anyone asks (because I know you will), the car is lowered on H&Rs w/ 7mm rear spacers (nothing in the front). No rub and no dub (they are 19's) and light as hell....around 18 pounds.

Thanks to Alex at Shark Werks for strong-arming me. Actually, I was just tired of Rich getting all of the attention with his weekly mods....I had to pull the trigger.

These wheels look so good on the 997's.

rleong May 2, 2006 10:37 AM

Car looks awesome....gotta get the RUF or Aero kit now!:D

sharkster May 2, 2006 10:44 AM

Heya Chris,

Your car looks dialed in now my friend... Thsoe wheels are just 'right' for the 997S;)

That looks utterly stunning. I thought I only liked the Aero-kit 997s until now...your car looks amazingly clean!

What's the width on the rears, just wondering why you needed to have a 10mm spacer put on the rear.

mogz May 2, 2006 12:44 PM

This wheels is starting to grow on me.

BTW, is it my eyes or your cars is lower when you still have the stock rims?

jlingk May 2, 2006 12:57 PM

These wheels are OK. Too many spokes. These types of wheels look better on a Lexus or other non-sports luxury brand car. I have the same feeling about the Porsche Sport Design wheels. Not aggressive enough for this particular car. That's my (likely unpopular) opinion anyways.

I believe cars equipped with PASM are 10mm lower off the bat. However, Synergys car had H&R's with the stock rims also.

v35,
this is from the kinesis site
997
Front: 19 x 8.5 (+50)
18 lbs
Rear: 19 x 11 (+58)
20 lbs

The stock offset is 67 so this is 9mm further out plus with the lip I wouldnt think spacers would be needed.
Unless synergy got the 996 wheels and added spacers. because those have an offset of over 60.
Aaron, Did you get the washers off yet? tell me how it goes.

wangt1015 May 2, 2006 02:27 PM

Wow the wheels look real nice!

BOYRACER May 2, 2006 02:48 PM

Those wheels look great. I wonder how they would look on a 996 GT3
