Bluetooth for 997's

My apologies if already covered- but what are my options for bluetooth integration?

porschespeeddemon Oct 13, 2006 08:33 PM

I just installed one on a 997 yesterday, works pretty well. I believe the name is Raytel's TellPhone, has its own speaker, a display that shows your phonebook, if applicable. Pretty nice system, standalone unit, unsure of installed prices.

What's the point? It's too damn loud with PSE active and the top down! :D

Motorola make a bluetooth system that intergrates with bluetooth phones and it hooks to the stereo, so sound is cutoff when call comes in. I saw it at bestbuy here in florida $379.00 I think.

If you don't have nav there are several systems that you can use to intergrate with bluetooth phones through the nav and hooks to the stereo as well. I think tomtom 710 does this. chk it out might help.

That is the brand we have been using, it is the 4200 series. I'm not sure of prices for an installed system, but I'm sure people on here could do it no problem.

looks just like the $379.00 motorola at bestbuy. The motorola says free install on the box. The problem is bestbuy hear in florida will not work on a porsche.

what model parrot works the best in the porsche.

I am using this product Blue Ant supertooth 2
here is a link http://www.myblueant.com/supertooth2.htm
It works very well. No installation necessary jut clip to visor
Has a very long battery life so I only need to charge it
once a month or so. No wires. Sound is good pretty loud
but still a little tough to hear with PSE on loud. Price is right
and works very well for my phone (verizon Motorola E815)
Hope this helps
Curt
