What Supercars could a Supercharged 997 S OUTRUN???
I don't know why I didn't throw this in here before, but I raced an '06 Z06. We went from 30 to about 130. Would have done more if the conditions allowed. He and I launched beside each other. He pulled a half a car immediately. He shifted, I caught him. We danced back and forth through the shifts like this with him having a slight advantage... being that I never got out front. He did and then I would reel him in. In the end, at 130, he had a definitive half car on me and I think it would have grown. Keep in mind that, to my knowledge, I have everything done you can do right now, other than cats. I even have ram air from my Cargraphic kit.
Also, I have a buddy with an M5 (V10). I'm faster. Period.
Also, I have a buddy with an orange '05 Murcielago. He's faster. Period.
From a seat of the pants feel, I would bet a Benjamin that I'd take a STOCK 996TT. No experience with a 997TT, but I wouldn't lay my money on the table for that one. I'd lay it out AGAINST my car though.
Does this help?

It was a good run. The wild part was that I could see him pulling on me at the lower revs and I'd almost catch him in the high ones.
I have the 997S, so it's a 3.8.
EVO Motorsports Supercharger, upgraded diverter valve (this system, of course, covers a lot: injectors, cpu tuning, intake, all that jazz)
Fabspeed Headers
Fabspeed Exhaust
Porsche Short Throw Shifter (woo hoo!)
Cargraphic body kit
Avus 20" 3 piece wheels. Slowin' me down for sure.
I don't know of anything else to do. If someone knows of something, tell me now, please.
I don't know the rear wheel power and torque figures. I dynoed it before the mods and it got 308.2hp. Didn't get a tq figure. I have been back, but the place was too booked up to run me. Everyone talks about the 500hp (crank) being low though and I believe it.

FYI: I know of a blown 3.4 liter that beats the 997TT to 60, loses ground between 60 and 90, then pulls away to 150. Fun stuff.
996TT's are quite easy all the way up a few stages.

Interesting.
I assume a 997tt is faster than my car, so I'm not arguing that point. But, if the 997tt makes 480 at the crank stock, and 440 at the wheels stock, that would mean it is losing, what, 8% to a 4-wheel-drive drivetrain? Seems unlikely. So is it really making roughly 530+ horsepower stock? Something doesn't add up.
But again, every dyno is different, and bench racing is boring. Who really cares? They're all great cars.
