Evo Intake and Warranty
Evo Intake and Warranty
I am currently looking at a used 997S that has the above air intake. I was concerned about what if anything this would do to the factory warranty. Anyone know the answer?
Intakes are a breeze (forgive the pun). You shouldn't have any issues... including with warranty. If you need it, let me know and I can send you my factory intake so you can put it on if the dealership seems sketchy about it. Intakes are the absolute safest power mod you can buy, unless you douse it with water.
Enjoy! Looks like you have the same car my buddy has... Charcoal E55? He just picked his up with 4k on the odo. Loves it. Take care, and welcome to the circle!

I would suggest getting a stock 997s .. you can always add the Intake later. And keep the stock one and switch it out for dealer services. It took me about 20 minutes to install it.
The Evo intake is great, it fits perfectly and wakes up the PSE (Sport Exhaust).

My evo intake was installed at the dealership with reprogramming under warranty. I'm told that the net result is 20-25 hp. In fact I would say that it feels like the difference between the S and the basic 997. Call dealerships in your area and ask them. I'll bet you'll find a 05 or 06 at a deal with or without the treatment and a willing dealership to maintain the warranty. At 3000 installed, it's the best bang for the buck for a 997s.
I had and intake and chip. I know the improvement with chip reprogramming is not as significant in a na car but there is a difference.
