What that sounds like to me is the top of the blower unit hitting the under side of the decklid. The dealer may have to do a slight modification to the decklid to give the blower more room so that it does not make contact with the decklid.

Can you duplicate the noise with the hood open and in neutral? Maybe then you can better locate where the sound is coming from. Turbine noise is fine, but you should have no vibration. It may have nothing to do with the compressor.

You will hear a rattle at idle, but once under load, the sound should change to a whine which will progressively and linearly change as engine speed increases. There should be no hicup or other change in the whine while accelerating. The sound of the blower is very predictable as speed increases.

The bottom of the turbine can possibly hit the frame. Check the 6 o'clock position on the turbine. Take a 1 inch section of a rubber hose, like a radiator hose... cut a slit down the side so you can open it up and essentially make a rubber square out of it... slide it under the turbine... it will be tight... and you likely won't have a rattle any longer. Lemme know.

Oh, and by the way, Nate's right. You can relax. Just find the rattle. Nothing's wrong. Take care, JC... Oh, why don't you go ahead and tell us how it hauls *** now?
