Thumbs up 3 weeks in my S Cab, questions and comments

I love the car and have been very happy with the quality so far. I have a few little things I have noticed and would like input.

A slight rattle in the dash, no big deal I have read about the dealer putting felt material in to resolve this issue.

When I put the top up, it never fails, 1 of the 4 windows fails to go all the way up, the "pinch" protection kicks in and stops the window. Different one all the time. No big deal either. Seals are all spotless clean.

Also, I got a flashing small caution symbol with an exclamation mark in the middle, I noticed this after stopping at home and just forgot about it until now.

1200 miles and I will need to add 1/4 qt. of oil soon, I think it has three bars.

I have really enjoyed the car, my last 911 was an 89 Targa. THE AC ROCKS in the 997 and I think the PASM and PSM are awesome. To the uninformed diver the PSM would be transparent other than the flashing light on the instrument cluster. Compared to the other ESP/Traction control systems I have owned there is no comparison, the M3 I had would just shut the power abruptly, the VW's have been a little better, but not like PSM.

I would like to add PSE soon to the car, but have no real plans for mods. I will eventually by an additional set of wheels for DE and the occasional autocross. I am thinking of getting 18's, as I am sure there should be more R-compound tires available in those sizes.

I don't post much, but read daily and enjoy the content. The content has turned me on to the Porshce driving experience, which I plan to attend soon, along with my wife. We have both autocrossed, but we have both talked about driving schools and DE for a while. I would love to do a few DE's in the surrounding areas and I just bought a open car trailer today that should be great to get the car on and off easily. I also have a V10 Touareg, it has air suspension which allows me to easily lift the tongue of the trailer to lower the entry/departure angle of the trailer. Great for our SCCA FP RX7 that is super low. Those of you with Cayennes should give this a try. I even use this to hook up to the trailer and drop it when done.

great write up and congrats on ur car.

for ur window, try resetting the window switches by holding down each switch individually for 30 sec or so. may want dealer to look at them if it persists.

Thanks. I tried holding them manually, but not for 10 seconds. I'll give it a try this afternoon.
