I had purchased a 997 carrera S launch model. (black with all the options). scince I had gotten the vehicle I have had a few major problems. Number 1, just a few thousand miles after I bought the vehicle I noticed that the exhaust tip were turning dark black, even after I washed the vehicle the tips kept turning black so I brought my car to my local Porsche dealer and they gave me a new set of tips and they said that there was a recall on the tips then they kept turning black even after they gave me a new set then I bought it back and they ended up telling me that the vehicle needed a entire new motor, at the time I figured ok its warrantee and now I get a new motor so its not so bad and I figured I would not make a big deal. Then now at around 20 thousand miles I have a very loud grinding sound coming from the rear of the car when I am in 1st gear, so I brought it in and they took a look at it and said that the entire transmission needs to be replaced. I know a lot of people who take there Porsche on the weekends and track their cars and then drive them to work all week and then track the car again the fallowing weekend and still have no problems. and I had never even tracked my car and I am having all of these problems. this is why I wanted to ask for advice what I should do lemon law the car, i am afraid if I keep the car it is going to be hard to sell because it was a problem car, etc. so please give me some advice, thanks a lot

If it is under warranty, keep it. Trade it in when the warranty is over.

but personally I would sell the car because of futures problems....
I personally dont like a car with another engine...another transmision....etc.

just my opinion...
