What's Causing This?
After my car has been driven to full op temp then left to sit for a while, say 1-3 hours, when I restart it and blip the throttle to back out etc I get a slight mis/hesitation @ around 2000 rpms which goes away after about a minute or so. The Porsche rep tells me it's the hot weather here in S Fl but I explained to him that none of my others cars exhibited this; he also said to keep the gas tank at least half full all the time which will help stabilize the temp of the fuel. I've owned quite a few 911's over the years and never recall this happening...is the rep trying to feed me BS? I remember some here also repopted the same phenomenon a while back. Anyone know the cause and or the cure as I am meeting with the rep again next week.
Thanks :) |

Hi:
Well it's good to know I'm not the only one...lol. PM me the name of your dealer and who you have been working with there that's familiar with the problem and I'll share it with the Porsche Rep this week as it will only help us both if we can show others have been in for the same problem and hopefully then the Porsche Rep can/will get some answers from Germany. BTW, keeping the tank full as the rep suggested had no positive effect on the problem at all. Regards, 500 |
