new daily driver

What would you pick for a new daily driver?
choose 1, or rank them from best to worst

1) corvette c6
2) bmw M6
3) porsche turbo 997
4) audi R8

thank you in advance :)

If I could only own one of those cars it would be the Porsche 997 turbo.

Otherwise, I'd take the M6 as my daily driver and the Porsche on the side.

AaronK 03-14-2008 08:36 PM

1. Audi R8
2. 997 turbo
3. M6(probably more comfortable but not as good looking as the 997)

Dino V 03-14-2008 09:17 PM

997 turbo

CorvZ061 03-14-2008 09:35 PM

i'll be the odd man out and say C6

Lamb05Murcie 03-14-2008 11:05 PM

Audi R8
Porsche 997
BMW M6
Corvette C6 (are you looking into a Z06?)

blkf430 03-15-2008 07:20 AM

regarding the c6

it will have a procharger + heads + cam

i like the porsche but compared to the others it looks boring.

the R8 is the most beautiful of the bunch but lacks in performance

amerlemans 03-15-2008 07:46 AM

M6 or R8.

You don't want a C6 Vette for a daily driver. Ask me how I know:D

blkf430 03-15-2008 05:06 PM

probably would go with the R8
but i'm looking at what would other members choose

These make great DD, I have a bunch of customers that use them and as long as you don't need a backseat they have no complaints.

EnriqueCK 03-17-2008 09:29 AM

I'd take all four and drive them daily for one week out of the month. That does count right? :D

JROW 03-17-2008 12:28 PM

If money is no option: 997 turbo, if it is then the c6 all the way!

forhamilton 03-17-2008 04:06 PM

1. 997 or M6 (depending on your style)
2. R8
3. Anything else
4. c6

DodgeViper01 03-17-2008 04:07 PM

997 Turbo or Audi R8

aeronos 03-17-2008 08:31 PM

I'm gonna have to go with C6 - gets 30MPG on the freeway, hard to beat as a sports car AND DD.

1) corvette c6 (#6 out of four available choices ~ who could own this unless it has the overwhelming horsepower of an LS7 engine?)
2) bmw M6 (#5 out of four available choices, they still can't design the front of this car to not look like ~!#%~)
3) porsche turbo 997 (#1 overall, but only after the UGLY factory rims were replaced with something tolerable)
4) audi R8 (#2 only because it sounds so awesome with the V8 but unfortunately manages to look a lot like a Nissan 350Z with the messed up doors and handles)

Red Devil 03-24-2008 03:04 PM

C6: cheap, reliable and common(at least here).
997TT: expensive, not too exciting, does everything pretty well.
M6: moderate, can look really sharp depending upon color, I'd wait for the double clutch and avoid SMG like STDs, needs torque help.
R8: expensive, you shouldn't see yourself coming and going, funky looks if color and CF insert not matched well, needs HP & TQ help.

JADE46 03-24-2008 10:43 PM

1) corvette c6
2) bmw M6
3) porsche turbo 997

and definetly some 360FORGED WHEELS!!!!!
