VR's New Project Viper SRT-10 - All Updates Here!
Vivid Racing has always been known for its work with Japanese cars and touching the BMW and Porsche scene. But now we have made a lateral move to show off our skills with the American Muscle. We just picked up this 2005 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Mamba Edition. It is number 75 out of 200 built. The stock horsepower is 500 with 525 ft/lbs of torque. When we were looking for our latest project vehicle, we checked out everything from Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Corvettes, but wanted something alittle rarer and something we could modify to hell and back while maintaining function.
It is pretty easy to gain 100HP with basic bolt on modifications. Our goal down the road is to build a twin turbo kit and produce some serious power. Right now we will be adding some HRE wheels, KW Variant 3 coilovers, exhaust, and K&N intake.
We started out with a baseline dyno run and then added our K&N twin filter intake kit to the car. The baseline test yield 390rwhp and 421ft/lbs or torque. With the K&N we gained 16whp and 19ft/lbs of torque.

does your dyno usually run low? Those numbers seem really off, my GTO laid down 370/370 with a K&N and P&P'd throttle body
Good luck w/ the project Dan, I love these cars!

Alright its been a busy week....first off, the stock exhaust on the viper was well, WEAK. So made a call to Lou Belanger, very cool because he's in AZ also. Anyhow got us a complete exhaust system for the 03-06 SRT-10.
Here are some pictures of the exhaust when it showed up.

Project Viper took a huge leap over the past week by changing its stance and sound with some new products. We are a firm believer that ALL stock wheels suck and the ride height is embarrassing. So first we attended to our rollers by adding a set of the HRE Wheels 1piece Monoblock wheels in a 19 inch front and 20 inch rear setup. The P40 edition wheels are brushed for a stylish finish to match the silver paint. Wrapping the wheels are some Nitto Invo Tires which fit the aggressive sizes. See more on our HRE Wheels Here.
