Pic's of my Super Snake at the Texas Mile

Here are a few pictures of my SS at the last Texas mile. I just got back to Afghan and just thought I would share some pic's with you guys.
The first run was on low boost and a pretty conservative tune. Didn't really want to push the car to hard because i was still getting use to her. Not driving a car for a year and jumping into this thing can get kind of crazy. 1st run was 193.8, felt good a strong so we turned it up a bit. 2nd run was 194.7 That is the new Super Snake record, but we did break the AC compressor Shaft. After we deleted the ac we went out for the third pass. 3rd run, 4th to 5th shift the trans let go at 170, after the pass we compared the runs and if the trans would have held it would have been over 200. We will be back next time for sure. Now we are building a stronger trans and we are adding and Ice Box in the back for the Intercooler, and we are also adding a small 75 shot as well. This is going to help us fight the heat on the big end. Since we set the SS record, 5.0 Mag did a full photo shoot of the car. It should be in the mag in a few months. We will see right. |

Van, John Lund, and Michael all have been great. They have all made building this car easy and a pleasure. They have all came down with me twice to the Texas mile to help me with my car. Van right now is trying to bring his Dyno to the next Texas mile in Oct. Still havent decided what trans to go with just yet. But whatever it is it is going to be bad ass.
It's always nice to get great people helping :D |
Wow, congrats!!

Nasty, but I've heard/seen these things have one HELL of a time keeping it together on a road course due to traction issues even with super stickies
|
Very cool. Congrats.
|
That is awesome!!!! Nice car too!

I'm still waiting to see one of these in person. Since I left Texas and moved to Maryland, I just don't see a whole lot of "exotic" american muscle cars anymore. Very nice!
|
Congrats! That's beastly.
|
Congrats, nice runs.
Shame about the breakages, but I'm sure it will come back stronger. |
Congrat's great runs,.:D
