FVD-Brombacher Tackles the Rolex 24

Press Release: 2008 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona
Orbit Racing and FVD-Brombacher have once again partnered up to tackle the most grueling test of man and machine, the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. FVD-Brombacher is proud to be a part of this classic enduro and looks to bring success in 2008 along with Orbit racing. We will be entering a brand-new 2008 Grand Am spec 997 GT3 cup car for the event fielded by an equally impressive driver line up. Famed British sports car driver Johnny Mowlem will be joined by equally impressive Mike Fitzgerald, who brought GT class victory and second place overall finish here in 2004 also with Orbit racing. Both Mike and Johnny are no stranger to the podium in both the Grand Am and ALMS series and have had incredible racing careers. Rounding out the driver line up for the 2008 event is Lance Willsey and Tom Papadopoulos; both bringing solid racing careers and experience, creating a collective driving force to be reckoned with.
The team had a successful outing for Rolex Test days Jan 3-6th, running in the top 10 of the over 40 car field in the GT class, cutting a fast time of 151.701 @ 114.735 mph. With an impressive driver line up, a huge GT class and incredible talent sprinkled through out the field, the 2008 Rolex 24 will be one not to miss. Watch Orbit Racing and FVD-Brombacher tackle the Rolex 24 the weekend of January 26-27th, 2008 with live television coverage of the event on the Speed Channel, Fox Sports Network and Speed HD, where available.
