foggy spots on side mirror?

hello,

Does anyone have any idea what this foggy spot/stain is on the side mirror (bottom trim part)?

It looks as if it's coming from the inside.

Anyone else have this same problem or know of any way to get rid of this?

Thanks.

Sean

I have seen it before, but only on a 5 year old car. Sounds like a warranty item to me.....

Looks like the mirror is de-laminating.

Thanks.

Is there any way to fix that w/o replacing that mirror?

It's no small item as those mirrors cost about $200 each plus installation. You've paid for a warranty so I'd use it.

BTW if you give your dealer a heads up he can probably swap it out with a new one in about 5 minutes.

Thanks... i actually just got off the phone w/ the SA and she said she would need to see it first before they can determine what the problem was. However, she did mention that if they had the part avail on hand, they can fix it right then and there.
