Great fun american rig, but man are these things underpowered.....SC soon! 2007 4dr JK.... with some tasteful mods, a whopping 205hp..... but fun for just cruising around town...

yes agreed

my jetski has more HP.... Toss a hemi in this beast and it would be unreal..... actually would even take a larger 6 or a v8..... at a minumim this jeep should have come with 240hp and more like 280+ maybe with a second engine option offering 320 or something. Hemi would be cool but would be hard to stuff it in there although some have already...

Love those 4 doors! Fell in love with one @ SEMA from MOPAR back in '06 w/ a MB CDI diesel engine. I was keeping my fingers crossed that it would be a reality. None-the-less, your looks fantastic. Keeping it clean and tasteful!!

thanks...

Thanks, the wheel choice was hard as I wanted something different but like to keep things OEM, so I bought some wheels that are an upgrade I believe on the jeep commander and added spacers and some meaty Toyo MT's.. Then de-badged and re-badged, mopar gas tank cover, some interior mods and that was it.... oH and tinted windows and clear 3m bra.... but again nothing to flashy. lots of people don't know what it is when they see it, think its a Hummer of some sort....IMO it looks better then the H3's. Thanks for teh note...

good question

There are not many proven kits out there yet, I have read up on one that helps by nearly 80hp, and the person that got it said he felt a difference but not all that much..... a bit sad after he posted the cost. Some have done CAI and exhaust and with minimal if any gains. From all I have read the best way to get some help is a re-gear. Maybe no HP gains but best results for the money. Pulling a trailer with two personal waterctafts (lats say 2200lbs max...) I need to drop a few gears to make it up even the slightest incline on the highway.... even towing nothing going up hill the car slowly falls from 6th and you need to drop it in 5th, steeper incline (talking highway not a mountian) be prepared to get into 4th.... yes my tires are heavy as hell and a few sizez larger then stock and that does impact things but even on the stock set up the jeep needed more HP.... its much heavier then the 2 drs of coure yet has only 6more hp then the 06's 2drs.... I gues they used their tried and true chrysler minivan engine. Overall as a second or third vehicle is awesome, a fun beach machine and cruiser around town.... not the commuter car or higwhay fun. But overall love it again as I have other cars....

thanks for the good words...
