1st Professional Race
1st Professional Race
Although we have underwear older than a lot of the members on this site, we decided to attend our first professional race car series this past weekend. My quadriplegic in-law and myself decided to make the 186 mile trip to Kansas Speedway for the Indy Car Roadrunner 300 and O’Reilly Auto parts Nascar Craftman Truck races.
All I can really say is that these drivers are amazing. To travel at that speed against 26-30 other cars around a concrete track for that length of time is pure guts. When race commentator stated during the Indy race that 197mph was off the pace, I said to myself “o ****”. I understand that IRL has a lot of detractors, but they simply have to hand it to the drivers and the cars.
I was very impressed with Kansas speedway and its very accommodating staff and do hope we can make it to another professional race. F1, pG.
