I'm leasing a 2005 E500 for my folks. The lease end is coming up. I called to find out what my options are. They told me right off the bat I could buy the car for $8000 less than the buy out figure in the lease agreement.

Is this what other people are experiencing?

Check the similar car retail on the market, it may 10K less than your buy out!
