Has anyone tried the cat By-Pass pipes with a ECU flash (EURO Spec )that eliminates the CEL ?

I was wondering how well this run's and sounds with the bypass pipes and the ECU Upgrade.

I was told that when my ECU get's flashed that the can eliminate the need for cat's and I dont have smog check's in my state for renewal..
