997s vs 997tt throttle response

I don't know how many of you forum members have had the opportunity to drive a 997s.
I definitely notice a difference in throttle response with the 997s being MUCH more responsive. I understand that Turbos in general have a lag in throttle response. However, I thought that this VTG design was suppose to address this problem.

I any case, this is something that I really miss in my 997s. Which mod does the most to Increase throttle response in a 997TT? I am not necessarily looking for increase HP, just increase throttle response.

thanks!

I've had two 997S cars and not the 997tt . Some S owners even debate the sport chrono option with the claim that the response makes the car edgy. I liked it in mine .

On the 997tt I felt the stock car had lag . My modded 997S would have lost in third but the Turbo needed work . It was just too quiet and comfortable until I stated blowing all this money buying mods for it. The 997S had this seamless acceleration but it lacked the base for the power gains attainable in the Turbo.

It went from luxury power car to a monster and with chrono engaged it's extremely responsive .

The EVT700 really made my car everything I had ever wanted it to be .

Throttle response with Sport Chrono 'on' is sharp. With it off sure, its a bit slow to respond (by design) to comfortably plod along to work and back if you so choose.

With it 'on' yes, its edgy but you get used to it and compensate for the 'less is more' nature of it. The RPM's fly with little pressure on the loud pedal when shes on.

Installing the Cargraphic exhaust - believe it or not - assisted in the response when sport mode was 'off' by allowing the turbos to spool sooner. Start there is my advice.

If you dont have sport chrono then a flash is in order for you!

thanks,
I do have the sports chrono but I really have not been using it much. Strange thing....
With my 997s and it's "sport exhaust" option, I tended to use the sports option "on" because I could actually hear the difference in addition to feel the difference in performance. I really wished that there was a similar option (sport exhaust) in the TT.
thanks for your input!
