i was driving from yountville to infineon raceway, on my way home to san francisco, to grab some race gas. i had 1/16 of a tank left, the digital read out said i had 50 miles left, so i was driving like grandma.

about 5 miles away, i see a 997tt in the mirror - but i couldn't play i was babying the car, keeping my fingers crossed, hoping the thing would make it.

about 2 blocks away, the car started sputtering and that was that - no more gas! i pulled over, the 997tt guys waved, and then turned around to help out.

it wasn't a far walk, but it's always nice to get help. and then it turns out i get help from a 700hp 997tt - nice Seablue and his buddy were pretty cool, his buddy drove me to the gas station, while seablue watched over my car on the side of the road.

I noticed that you took 101 south as I was about to do but Jim felt the urge for a beer so we headed up to the next northbound exit.

It would have been interesting to have a little EVT 700 play as both our cars are configured that way.

Chuck... One time basil came in and went to fill two of our 5 gallon tanks as well. Love it!
