well, it depends on the color you order. the official line from PAG is "color to sample orders can add 3 to 6 months additional order time". however, if you are ordering a prev. MY PAG color (e.g. horizon blue, viper green etc), or another mfgr color that has a color code, then your wait will be less, than if you were doing an actual "paint to match" e.g. lipstick, favorite shirt, whatever. those take additional time due to the R&D process that PAG puts those colors thru, in order to ensure not only colorfastness, but also the effects of UV/natural sunlight exposure. they will not do a color that will discolor or change in a strange way down the road.

just out of curiosity, what color did you order?

We waited 12 months for our paint to sample (from the day of deposit to the day of delivery). It was also an Audi color which is even in to Porsche family. We gave a deposit in July to have the car no later then May the following year, and the closer it got we were told that Porsche does not guarantee production.
