Well, the 60-130 event is BACK! I've had sooo many PM's, emails and calls asking about our next event I decided to give it another go! Please see below for all the details and I hope to see all of you there!

When:
Saturday September 20th
Gates open at 4:30 pm
Track hot from 5 pm to 8 pm
At 8 pm the track converts to 1/4 mile racing and all spectators stay to watch and all racers that ran the 60-130 can run 1/4 mile.

Cost:
Entry - $15
Tech Card - $50
There will be no additional charge to 1/4 mile race after the 60-130 event.
If you want to come to the 1/4 mile racing ONLY, you won't be able to get in until 8 pm at which point it will cost you $10 to enter and $20 to race. The track will close at 8 pm and re-open for 1/4 mile racing at 8:30 pm.

Caravan Information:
Meet at the Conoco gas station at I-10 and Eldridge at 3:15 pm. We will leave the gas station at 3:40 pm and head out to Lonestar together.

Do we need safety gear, Helmet, suit etc...

Are there any really nice Hotels close by to stay
where the cars are safe?

 

mondo - helmet if you have one would be good......as for hotels, there is an OMNI HOTEL that is nice and very safe (24 hour security) that is right next to the gas station we are meeting at. I think they call it the Omni Westchase at Eldridge and I-10.

Hey guys/gals, due to the fact that Ike came to visit us all here in the Houston area on Saturday, we might cancel the 9/20 event. Please check this thread on Thursday.

The event has officially been CANCELLED for this Saturday. Due to the devastation caused by Ike, both myself and Lonestar Motorsports Park (John Hennessey) feel that a celebration of this kind would be disrespectful to those that don't even have electricity and running water at this point in time. Please stay tuned, we WILL re-schedule.
