I am in need of finding a great dog, Jake, a better home. My fiancee and I had the opportunity to adopt Jake as he was not going to be able to join his family at their new home. Because we already have a dog and cat, this was contingent on how all three animals got along. Needless to say, things are not going as smoothly as we had hoped and we are not going to be able to adopt Jake.

Breed: Blue Heeler/Chow Mix
Age: ~6
Size: ~60 lbs. ~3' tall
Color: Black
Personality: VERY Playful!

This is NOT an apartment dog, as Jake will require a back yard that he can run around at full speed for most of the day. He is a very active and friendly dog, though he can be a little forceful with his friendliness.

The owners will be placing him in a shelter tomorrow (Thursday), so please let me know if you are interested. However, if he gets placed in a shelter, I will still know where you can find him, so let me know if you'd like to give him a shot.

In all honesty, if I did not already have my pets, I would be the proud new owner of Jake. He is FREE to a good home, so this is not about the money, I am just trying everything to keep him out of the city shelter as they are not a no-kill shelter. Sorry about the delay in posting. We just moved, and I have not been able to get any of the internets connected at my house. The owners were able to get him back into the same shelter they picked him up from, Lexee's Legacy, which is a no-kill shelter. All-in-all, I think this was the best outcome as they will be able to place him much quicker.

Thanks for all of the support, Jake is an awesome dog, and I wish that I would have been able to keep him.
