Racing/tracking engine mods on 997 FI cars

Hi,

Just wanted to try to open thread about this if there is any people here who did any serious re-hauling of engine with turbo or SC blower installed on a stock 997 car to sustain racing conditions. What was you have done and why?

I am still reading info regarding this and so far I see references to M96 engines mostly, and nothing about newer variants. Usual suggestions were to replace rods, rod bolts, some work on pistons, but none of that info is very informative and as I see mostly considered proprietary info of any particular racing shop.

So, if anyone has engine with a blower and regularly run it at 7K+ rpms for prolonged enough time - what it was you did to it, if anything?

Thanks, Paul.
