Stock OEM Wheels clear coat peeling, WARRANTY?

My brother's OEM wheels clear coat is peeling off of the spoke and just curious if anyone has had this problem before? He has the factory upgrade White Spoke OEM wheels and the car is still under warranty (never been to the dealer for warranty as of yet) but we are not sure if they will blame it on cleaning solution or some BS like that. I believe 3 of the 4 wheels are peeling also so not sure if that would make a difference or how the dealership would go about repairing such an issue...

I had the same problem on 2 of my wheels. The dealer did look at it carefully and in the end warrantied the work for a full repair- no charge.

Why do that? Wouldn't the replacement/repair be warrantied at least to the same life of the remaining warranty on the car? If so, why delay the rectification?

have a brand new set at warranties end rather than place wear that may not show up until after warranty is over
