2011 GT3 - need some advice and thoughts

I have secured an allocation for a 2011 GT3 and am going this weekend to spec it out with my salesman. I need some help from those who have this generation GT3. As background, I have had every year 993; a 1997 C4S; a 2007 Turbo, and a 2008 Turbo...not a thing I didn't like about any of them. I'm ready for another 911, but thought I'd try the GT3 over another Turbo or standard 911. No apparent chance of driving a GT3 first, so I'm trying to be as smart as possible about this purchase. If someone has owned a Turbo and or C4S and now owns the latest GT3, I'd love to hear from you.

Are there differences/changes between the 2010 and 2011 GT3s?

I've seen articles mentioning RMS failures in earlier 997 GT3S...has this problem been fixed with the later cars?

I have no real interest in tracking the car but recognize that this is a draw for many who own them over other 911 variants. Opinions whether or not this is ideally a track car and suffers negatively as a street car (not a daily driver) would be welcome.

I'm selling my 07 F430 to make this move...for reasons I simply can't explain, I just don't drive it....never had that problem with the 997s...they just seem to fit what I like in so many ways, but want to make sure I'm not better suited for another Turbo or C4s.

Thanks for all taking the time to help me make this decision.

I've owned a 997 C2S, 997 C4S Cab and 997 turbo and now a .2 GT3. I have to say that by far the GT3 is more fun. I don't track my cars and still very much appreciate the more focused nature of the 3. Mine is basically a weekend driver but one could very easily daily drve this car.

There are no differences between a 2010 and 2011 except that Bluetooth and some other option may now be standard; with a price increase of course.

Glad to hear this, because I'm moving to LA most likely and I'm looking to trade up my 2005 3.6 997 for a GT3.
